Access the Router's Internet Access Policy
This is the only way we can regulate internet access for users in the network using linksys wifi router. For small organizations or business establishments, using this kind of of router is a practical choice. But for larger company, it will be better to buy or setup a good firewall for the network.
Go to Access Restriction->Internet Access Policy.
Configurations :
Access Policy - choose the number of Access Policy.
Enter Policy Name - Enter the policy name you want that describes it.
Status - Enabled

Applied PC's - If you want to regulate certain computers in your network then you can do it. Click on Edit List button. You can set the MAC address of the PCs you want to restrict access on the internet. You will have to know its MAC address so that it can be restricted. You can set also the IP address of the computer you want to regulate access. And also, you can set IP address ranges of computers you want to restrict access on the internet.
Access Restriction - Allow or Deny. Choose either allow or deny websites or computers.
Schedule - You can specify time or schedule of your access restriction policy. It has schedule for daily access and you can also specify a specific time of the day you want to have restrictions.
Website Blocking by URL Address - If you want to block specific website you can enter the website URL. Remember to put http:// or https:// .
Website Blocking by Keyword - If you want to block website by keyword, this could be used. The advantage of this is that, more websites will be blocked if it is involve on that keyword/s.
Blocked Applications - You can also block applications that uses certain protocols. Example applications are gaming applications, torrents and VPN applications. You can do this by adding it to the block lists and specify its port number.
When all your internet access restrictions settings are correct, then it must work. Try to save and test it if its really working. If not try to make some revisions to your settings and test again if its really working.

ReplyI do not have a router and i can only get a weak, slow signal on my ipod touch from a corner in my room. I am using my neighbors wifi and they suggested i got an linksys extender setup that i could put in my room where i get the signal and then it would magnify the signal. Any suggestion?
