I had experienced this kind of problem before. I had a customer and she was asking me to fix her computer and found out a defective LAN had caused the blue screen error. What I did was I remove the LAN card, clean the pins with eraser and brushed. It was really successful.

2. Memory related errors
A possible blue screen error is due to a defective memory modules. It is very difficult to repair defective memory. Commonly if we have defective memory, we tend to buy a new one just to get our computers back to work.
Testing a memory if it is defective.
- A defective memory will cause a computer not to boot-up and you may here a long beep. The computer motherboard doesn't detected the memory if you hear this strange long beep. To make sure, remove the memory from the slot and turn again the computer without the memory. If you hear a long beep again, then your motherboard is working okay. Now, try to attached the memory back again into its slot and test once again. If a long beep comes again, you may suspect its the memory. If there is a vacant slot for memory, remove it and transfer it to that vacant slot. If still not working, then the memory is defective. If you have a spare memory modules, you are lucky. Replace the memory with your spare, and test again if its working. If that spare memory is good then expect everything is fine and your PC will bring back to work.

3. A problem with the Windows OS
- If you experience a blue screen error during start-up, your OS maybe crashing lately. There are many reasons why an OS may crash or may not function well. Commonly a virus or malware we don't expect could bring our system to become paralyze. If this is the case, the only fix for this is to scan your hard disk to another computer. You can only do this if you have an extra computer. But if you don't have, the only thing you can do is to re install the OS. If you have some important files in your hard disk, then you can re-install your OS without formatting your drive. See my other blog on how you can do it.
That's it guys. I hope you get my point on fixing a blue screen error on windows start-up. Thanks.
